The four steps
From first question to follow-up
You can stop, change the plan or walk away at any step before the procedure begins.
- 0145 min
Step 1: Consultation
A 45-minute visit of its own. We talk about the shape and color you want, I look at your skin, and we go through your history, including any allergies and medicines.
Photos of looks you like are welcome
No pigment is chosen or placed
You leave with a plan, not an obligation
- 0230 min
Step 2: Design
On the day of your procedure, we start with a pencil. I measure from your face, draw the shape, and hand you the mirror.
You approve the shape before anything else happens
We choose the color together, tested on your skin
Change anything, as many times as you like
- 032–3 hr
Step 3: Procedure
Pigment goes in with a single-use needle, in light passes, so the color builds rather than arrives all at once.
Numbing product goes on first
Say stop and I stop
You go home with written aftercare
- 044–8 weeks later
Step 4: Follow-up visit
Four to eight weeks later, we look at how the color settled. It looks different in week one than it does by week six, and this visit is where I adjust.
Booked before you leave
Color and shape adjusted where needed
After this, a refresh when you want one
Before you decide
What permanent makeup is, and isn't
What it is
Pigment placed in the top layers of your skin with a single-use needle, in a shape we have drawn and you have approved. It is makeup that does not wipe off, which is the reason to decide slowly.
What it isn't
It is not a quick decision, and it does not last forever. Color softens over the years and can be refreshed. If you are not sure, the consultation is a conversation, not a commitment.
Who should wait
Pregnancy and nursing, some medicines, a recent sunburn or skin reaction, or a cold sore near the lips are reasons to wait or to ask your doctor first. Tell me at the consultation, and I will say plainly whether to book.
Before and on the day
- 01
Step 1: Book a consultation
Choose a consultation on the booking page. You book the procedure after we have talked, so nothing is held before you have decided.
- 02
Step 2: What to bring
Photos of brows or lips you like, and a note of any medicines you take and any allergies.
Photo ID, the first time
Nothing on your brows or lips: come bare
- 03
Step 3: When you arrive
Come five minutes early. Park out front, and ring at Suite 2. Guests wait outside.
- 04
Step 4: What to expect
One person, one room. We talk, I draw, you approve, and I do not start until you say yes. Plan on about 45 minutes for a consultation and two to three hours for a procedure.
