Monte Houghton
Permanent makeup artist and owner
Brows and lip color, drawn on you before any pigment goes in.
Monte learned to work a needle in a tattoo shop. He came to permanent makeup to slow down: draw the shape on you first, work in light passes, and not start until you say it's right. He is the one to ask about a color refresh, or about work done somewhere else.
What he does
- Powder brows
- Hair-stroke brows
- Combination brows

How Monte works
Every first visit is a conversation and a pencil. He measures from your face, draws the shape, and hands you the mirror. If you ask for a change, he makes it. If he thinks a request will not suit you, he says so and shows you why.
He also keeps the studio's rules: the deposit, the notice, the follow-up visit and the permits on the wall. He is glad to explain any of them before you book.
